About Me

I’ve always had an interest for the outdoors, even since I was a nipper growing up on a council estate in a rough part of Sheffield. As I grew; mates, trends, attitudes and personal life changed but deep down, nature is always in my blood.

In the late 80’s I turned my world on its head and joined the army, this move lead me to adventures and experiences all around the world, some I loved and some I hated but none I regretted. This was second school of life that taught me things from different environments from the desert to the Arctic.

Years later I’m in a different uniform and still learning about life. My recent adventures have taken me all over the north of England, hiking in the hills and valleys with my other half, friends, family and my Springer Spaniel.

My blogs include walks, life, kit and chaos!

Forty-four years on....
